Prerequisite: State Indentured Carpenter Union Apprentice; CARP 040A; CARP 040B
This course is designed to meet the needs of indentured apprentices with the State of California who are interested in the carpentry industry. The course covers the basic techniques and procedures used to erect frame scaffolds, with construction practices and safety considerations are a major focus of the course. Scaffold standards and industry-wide, enforced regulations are presented and utilized in hands-on projects. Students identify frame scaffold components and the importance of site and equipment inspections, and erect typical frame scaffold assemblies according to industry standards.
