This course is intended for students who seek a better understanding of the role and responsibilities of a first responder. This course meets the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) standards of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). This course also meets the State of California Title 22 requirements in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, and automatic external defibrillation (AED) training as related to becoming an emergency medical technician (EMT). This course also provides Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) training and certification from the American Heart Association.
