This course provides an interdisciplinary overview of the major global issues facing the world today such as globalization, economic inequality, human rights, environmental sustainability, global health, and conflict. Through a combination of lectures, readings, films, and discussions, students explore the interconnectedness of global systems and how individuals and societies contribute to and are affected by global change. The course encourages critical thinking about solutions to global challenges.
