This course is a historical survey of the United States, from Indigenous North America to the end of Reconstruction. The course also introduces students to historical reasoning skills.
This course explores the social, economic, political, and cultural developments in early U.S. history, with an emphasis on the Revolutionary War, the formation of the new republic, westward expansion, and the Civil War.
