NTTR 010 - Introduction to Tutoring Training

This course prepares students for successful peer tutoring at the community college level. Instruction focuses on theoretical foundations for tutoring, guiding principles, communication skills, techniques and strategies for working with diverse populations, and an overview of college resources. This course is intended to prepare tutors for employment in the Learning Assistance Center; Math, Science, and Engineering Center; or other peer tutoring programs at Rio Hondo College.
