MATH 033B - Mathematical Foundations - B

Advisory: ENGL 030 or ENLA 034 or appropriate placement; READ 022 or appropriate placement

This course is the second half of a modularized version of MATH 033. This course combines topics from both Basic Math and Prealgebra, including rates, ratios, and proportional thinking, percent problems and applications to percent, and an introduction to algebraic thinking using fundamental principles of expressions and solving linear equations. This course serves as a foundational course for all students. Students must pass MATH 033A in order to register for MATH 033B. Students must complete MATH 033A and MATH 033B within a maximum period of 24 months.
