The Public Safety Officer noncredit program provides a platform for students interested in the field of Public Safety. It provides guidance in navigating the diverse careers in this ever-expanding field. The instructors are highly qualified and knowledgeable in the subject areas. The goals of the program include: raising the PELLETB passing rate, reinforce developing balanced study habits, personal nutrition, academic preparation, and to orient students on specific skills necessary for entry-level positions in law enforcement. This program also serves as a bridge to Rio Hondo College Police Academy.
The public safety officer courses are organized in a way to earn the Certificate of Competency Public Safety I, and Certificate of Competency Public Safety Officer II
